What is Zoom Bleaching?

Zoom is a revolutionary whitening system that has been used in dental offices for years. This in-office whitening option delivers outstanding results in just an hour while you sit comfortably in one of our operatories. Zoom delivers professional-grade results without needing to wait weeks. You can benefit from Zoom whitening as a confidence booster, before having restorations placed or because of a big upcoming event.

Why would Zoom Bleaching be needed?

Some of our patients like to whiten their teeth regularly to keep themselves looking young and attractive. For others, they might be interested in in-office whitening because of a big event, like a reunion or a wedding. Regardless of why you might want to whiten, it’s good to know that you won’t need to wait weeks to see results when using the Zoom system. Zoom is ideal for patients who have stained, discolored and yellowed teeth and who want a dramatic change.

Who is a candidate for Zoom Bleaching?

Zoom, like all other professional whitening options, will work best on natural teeth. It will have little to no impact on any restorations that you might currently have. These include crowns, bridges, dentures, veneers or bonding. Most patients who want to have their teeth professionally whitened can benefit from treatment. Your teeth should be otherwise healthy enough to undergo whitening in order to be a viable candidate for Zoom.

What happens during the procedure for Zoom Bleaching?

The first step is to have you sit comfortably in one of our operatories. We then separate your lips from your teeth to help the whitening gel work effectively. A clear whitening gel is applied to your teeth and a bright light is placed over your smile. The light helps to warm and accelerate the whitening gel so that it works more quickly. After about 30 minutes, we’ll come back in and remove the gel to apply a fresh coat. The light is again placed over the teeth for another half hour. In just an hour, you’ll have teeth that are multiple shades brighter and whiter than when you came in.
