Juvéderm is a dermal filler that can be used to create a more shapely smile. This injectable filler is often used to reduce the lines and nasolabial folds around the mouth. For patients who have issues with asymmetry, Juvéderm is ideal in creating a more uniform appearance. The injections are safe and effective, and the results can last for months.
Why is Juvéderm needed?
When people look at your smile, they aren’t just noticing your teeth. If you have deep lines and wrinkles around the mouth or if your lips are uneven, this can put off feeling good about yourself. Juvéderm is ideal for reducing wrinkles and folds as well as helping with lip augmentation.
Who is a candidate for Juvéderm?
Most of our patients are good candidates for Juvéderm treatment. Prior to having you come in for the injections, we will go over all medical and health history. Juvéderm is best suited for adult patients who aren’t allergic to any of the ingredients within the injection itself. Results are not permanent and retreatment after several months is needed to maintain results.
What happens during the Juvéderm procedure?
We apply a topical analgesic to the area where the injections will be given, then inject Juvéderm dermal filler around the mouth and into the lips to plump up these areas and create a more youthful appearance. It is common to have some slight swelling and discomfort for the first day or two. You can expect the results to last for many months before retreatment will be needed.
