Dental Bonding
A minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses tooth-colored resin to fill chips, gaps, and spaces.

What is Dental Bonding?
Bonding is a cosmetic procedure that uses composite resin tooth-colored material to effectively fill in gaps, spaces and chipped areas on your front teeth. Bonding is minimally invasive, and many of our patients won’t even need local anesthetic in order to place the material. Your new bonding can easily last for roughly 10 or more years before it should be replaced.
Why would Dental Bonding be needed?
If your front teeth are chipped, slightly broken or cracked, we can place bonding to fill in these missing areas of tooth. For other patients, they might have gaps and spaces between their teeth that are causing them to feel badly about their appearance. Bonding restores your smile to a beautiful, flawless look.
What makes you a candidate for Dental Bonding?
Because dental bonding is a minimally invasive procedure, it is often a great choice for many of our patients. Bonding is most often applied to the front teeth, and your smile should be otherwise healthy enough to have the material placed. Older bonding can and should be replaced as soon as it begins to look worn or damaged.
What can you expect during the procedure?
We slightly file down the tooth and smooth any rough edges, then apply a bonding gel to help the material adhere. The composite resin is matched specifically to your smile so that no one will even know it’s in place. The material is placed over the tooth and carefully smoothed out, then cured with a bright light several times. You can treat your new bonding as you would the rest of your teeth, replacing it after about 10 years.
