Fluoride Treatments
A quick, concentrated varnish that strengthens enamel and helps prevent cavities for all ages.

What are Fluoride Treatments?
A fluoride treatment is a concentrated varnish applied to the teeth to strengthen enamel and help prevent decay. Fluoride remineralizes areas weakened by acid and makes the tooth surface more resistant to the bacteria that cause cavities. The treatment takes only a minute and is completely painless.
Why would Fluoride Treatments be needed?
Even with good home care, teeth can lose minerals over time. Fluoride replaces those minerals and is especially valuable for children whose adult teeth are still developing, for patients with a history of decay, dry mouth, or braces, and for adults who want extra protection between visits.
Who is a candidate?
Fluoride benefits patients of all ages — children, teens, and adults. We tailor the strength and frequency to your individual risk of decay, and it is safe and recommended as part of routine preventive care.
What happens during the procedure?
After your cleaning, we paint a thin layer of fluoride varnish onto the teeth. It sets quickly on contact with moisture, and you simply avoid eating or drinking for about 30 minutes afterward. There is no need to rinse, and the treatment adds no time to your visit.
