The first step to your Invisalign treatment is to consult with you, perform an exam and take impressions. With our iTero Digital Scanner, we are able to take impressions digitally, eliminating the need to use the uncomfortable “goop” that traditional impressions use! These impressions are used to make your first set of clear aligners. You should wear the aligners for about 22 hours each day and only take them out to eat or brush and floss your teeth. You will then need to come back into our office to have new aligners made for you after a few weeks. You’ll go through many clear aligners over the course of treatment. The average treatment time for patients using Invisalign is between 8 and 16 months, depending on the quality and severity of your individual orthodontic issues.
